I'm downloading the 32-bit to install on my Dell when I get home from school. =D Got to love campus' restricted bandwidth.

Started my Dl around 7 AM California time using the CP setup from the MS CP site.
The Dl took around 9 minutes but the whole setup process windows took at leats 15 minutes total.

It appears that I received the x86 flavor:

Alright just downloaded and installed on the laptop. seems great the pinball game is awesome and it has xbox live support! there's an app called xbox companion. Haven't tried it since im at work and I tethering is the only option i have to use the laptop. so its not letting me through. if you've tried it i'd love to know how it is.

I figured that much, but I mean what can you access with this app and said connected xbox?

I don't mean to be pushy let's all just enjoy exploring this release and if someone gets around to answer the question then awesome if not I'm sure when I get home I'll be able to answer it.

The Web installer .iso is smaller than the .iso x86 (32bit) one can download by itself.
Different hash & includes a key.
Checked the product .ini, don't see my key there:

I think it's hilarious that people are posting "slow" and "OMGSOSLOW" and the like, when the speeds they're getting are equal to my max download speed for ANYTHING. Does everybody but me and danielcarlhaffner have a T1 line or something? Anyway, downloading and going through setup now. It looks promising already.

Well, some quick thoughts from someone who has tried both 8CP and ServCP - and I loved the DP versions of both and used them daily as main OS's...

1) Oh dear god that default blue from the background that is used for the glass is horrible. Far too "Aero Basic" looking.
2) That evil new boot manager is back, complete with the irritating and stupid "loading OS most of the way - reboot again to run a different OS" issue.
3) Whoever picked the default Server theme/colour scheme needs an eye test. Awful. Ugly.
4) The wallpaper for Server is however quite pleasant.
5) Apps... the Metro resolution restriction means that on a netbook of, say, 1024x600 you literally CANNOT open ANY of them. At all. No mail. No IE. Nothing. Every single one of them. Despite the DP showing they would be just fine (via the "second monitor" cheating).
6) New headphone icon for mp3s. Nice - BUT the Music app it belongs too won't open on a netbook. Sigh.

It is taking a lot more to learn and work with than WDP did. Not loving it so far to be honest...

EDIT: Ammendment... On a desktop PC? Instantly MUCH better, to the point of genuine surprise. Metro Start Screen has every app on one screen for me, all very fast and responsive. Sad the netbook experience is so hugely different.

I can't install it no matter what - when booting from ISO on my laptop, it says it can't find the DVD driver. When installing under VMWare 8.0, it says that it couldn't read the <productkey> setting from unattended file. Any help?

Is your download corrupt? The SHA1 hashes on the download page are there for a reason.

I am very disappointed that the music app keeps crashing a lot.

Stable 2.0MB/s I guess the server floods are easing off now.

The SHA1 check in BitComet has failed as you suggested... But I'm downloading 32-bit version now anyway.
