Server's fine, I see people hitting 10 to 20MB/s and I'm at 2.3.

No es-ES beta??
Anyway, I'll try the Consumer Preview to see if it changes my view about Windows 8.

As I've already said, I'm certainly going to download and test this build for myself, though that will have to wait until I've finished testing the Server and Developer Tools counterparts of the previous build (Developer Preview - Build 8102).

However, it will not only be nice, but also quite a refreshing change to (finally) see a new build of Windows 8 come into our hands, and that is coming from someone who has watched the project evolve from just a mere post-RTM update of Windows 7 to nearing Release Candidate stage, in just the space of two years.

Also, as far as the slow downloads are concerned, not only am I going to download from the BetaArchive FTP server, but I'm also going to leave the download unattended (most likely by doing what I call a "nightly download", or overnight download, by first starting the download extremely late at night, shortly before leaving, and then leaving it that way, so that it can run through part of the night, for example, if I started the download at 11:30 PM, and it took about three hours and fifteen minutes, it would stop at about 2:45 AM).

Really slow here. Like 4 kb/s. Just joking. Not even downloading.

If it was me, then, I would just wait until it is finally mirrored on the BetaArchive FTP server, and then use FileZilla, since it has the option to stop and resume downloads, even if it may take a few days to finish the download as a result of stopping the download and continuing it later.

I might try that but my downloads on dial-up always tend to end up corrupted if the file is over 10 MB. But I will try it. Can't afford High-speed. Dial-up is $15 a month. High-speed is around $60 and up.

It's a bit slow here, but then again I'm downloading both the English and Japanese version simultaneously, and I'm currently limited to 4 connection per download in IDM.

Finally it is here!

Now one little question: will this work in VM? I think I have enough RAM and HDD space. :3

It should as long as you have VMWare Player 4 or VMWare Workstation 8 and a CPU capable of hardware virtualization.

Even if you don't have hardware virtualization, VMWare's products should still run it, that is, as long as you be sure to use the 32-bit x86 copy and not the x64 (x86 64-bit) one.

However, I personally find VMWare's products to be very slow and extremely unstable anyway (at least in my experience), so if it were me, I would rather install it alongside my primary Windows installation on my real system, unless I had a reason as to why I needed to switch to Windows 8 on the fly from a previous version of Windows.

EDIT: Also, this is of no offence to those who actually prefer VMWare's products, I'm just speaking in my own personal experience.

Trying to get the servers myself... all I get is "file not found".

If anyone of you got a Technet or MSDN account, try to grab any of the checked editions and SDKs for us. And the server editions too if possible, I will continue to try to grab them.

What's the expiration date, and I assume it's Ultimate edition?
