Well, even though the article is now old (for Windows 8), I agree in that the Release Candidate builds of Windows 8 will almost certainly start being released in around that time period (around March to May).

Also, as far as the RTM build of Windows 8 being compiled in July, I heard that it was going to be compiled in August, so possibly, it's going to be compiled in July (as with Windows 7 earlier), yet not released to such people as Microsoft partners until August. I've also heard that it will be distributed at the BUILD conference in September, from that MSNerd source that Andrew Tapferke linked to back in December, although some people have disputed that source's information.

While I can understand the Release Candidate builds of Windows 8 arriving in April, I can't possibly see the RTM build (or even pre-RTM builds) even being compiled then, let alone actually released to the public.

Actually, the article says RC build will be compiled/release in January 2012... XD So it's obvious they overestimated the dev process as well as don't know [censored]...

Just a vague rumor that's totally false. Locked.
