Nice, apparently it'll recompile under VC++ 2008.

Poking around in the source code, I found this image:

I only find it interesting because it's Windows Vista RC1.

Hmm, maybe they were trying beta libraries or compatibility with Vista? It is interesting... :o And is that KIS 6 (icon)?, looked cool.

When was screenshot taken? It might have been taken when Kaspersky were working on an older version of KIS and they wanted to ensure that their software worked on Vista as early as possible. Perhaps they just forgot to take the image out when working on new versions of KIS.

How can Kaspersky 2009 be leaked when Kaspersky 2012 has already been released in full? Or is that the 2009 beta version now available for download?

Whoops, your right (it was one of the top topics on the "News" forum, so I had assumed it was a new thread).

But anyway, even in Jan 2011 there was the 2011 version out.

On this topic, heres 2009 and 2010 editions available from Kasperskys website: https://www.kasperskyanz.com.au/kis_latest_versions
And the 2012 edition: http://www.kaspersky.com/au/kis_latest_versions
Not sure where the 2011 or earlier than 2009 are though.

They are talking about the source code.

You are talking about the executable releases.
