In the about:config page of Chromium 13.0.763.0 (Developer Build 85072) I noticed a new UI feature in development, one that pushes the interface literally out of it's window, simply called "Compact Navigation".
All of the normal Chrome commands are still visible in the top, with the omnibox only popping down when you click the tab or open a new one.
Another UI change in the works worth mentioning is the 4th revision of the new tab page:
foo and bar are meant to be places to store application links and more as it is further developed (still underway and non functional).
There are also a few other technical changes worth checking out that can be enabled in the about:config page showing off the future of the Chrome browser.
they found a serious flaw in chrome, but they plan to let the govt use it
"This code and the technical details of the underlying vulnerabilities will not be publicly disclosed. They are shared exclusively with our Government customers as part of our vulnerability research services."
