Well, finally after 2-3 years of development from Alpha 3 to Beta 1 is done!
Hopefully you'll try this beta release of Spybot, as it's well... You know, new stuff etc!

It averagely works in Windows 8 (used Spybot S&D 2.0 Alpha 3), Beta 1 might work good enough.

Wow, they finally release version 2.0 but beta?

I remember this program being 1.6 back like 7-8 years ago if IIRC and only went to 1.62 after a couple years later but now, version 2.0, such a long difference in time. Though I would never see the day...

Haven't used this program in a few years. Its good to know they still develop it. I switched to Malwarebytes, I wonder how Spybot does against this.

This is very interesting, I have sworn by this for years! There used to be a nice little scanner called prevx I think that was very good also. I think it went to paid use only though. Has anyone had any experience with it lately.

It includes iPhone scanning, OpenSBI (your own detection database) and some kind of other scripting.

i have been using this off of my flash drive to test in different scenarios and it preforms quite well although the beta lacks some of the features that were in the alpha versions it is much more stable then what it was.

not a major issue but installer size went from 15MB to 66M almost 5x

i wonder will V2 will b more resource hungry when scanning etc
