I already fiddled with the code of the engine GunCraft uses (TechCraft). TechCraft needs you to have an XBOX/Games for Windows LIVE account with XNA CREATORS CLUB which is paid. So i guess that even with a serial, you'd still need that.

So basically you cracked the beta then? You do know we don't allow such binaries (or linking to such) here?

Not to worry, mrpijey, i won't put it anywhere here

Also, the engine GunCraft uses IS Open source after all.

EDIT: Just to be clear, i just made that post to explain you'd need XNA Creators Club to play the game even if you had the key.

q3hardcore is leaking the link to the private beta - shame on you man.

Sadly IvanDSM is misinformed.. The build he linked to is the PC build and does not require any XNA/Creators Club memberships to install and run it. He is correct that we use the TechCraft engine for rendering the voxel world - but there's many months of additional coding on top of that for the game.

However without a beta code and valid login you cannot play the game online and other than the map editor there's not too much to do in single player :-)

Go ahead and make some cool maps for us if you feel the urge.

If anyone wants in for the private beta you can sign up here http://exatogames.com/Guncraft/ - we let new people in every release so you won't have to wait too long.
