Forum rules


Please read the following rules before posting a download request in this area:

1. Don't post a request if you have under 10 posts as stated on the front page. If you do anyway, it will be deleted without further notice. This also applies to other members: If you see a request by someone with less than 10 posts and it hasn't been deleted yet, please don't reply to it.
2. Don't request for warez or any copyrighted software. Only betas (no matter how old or new) and finals of operating systems and applications that are at least 10 years old and therefore classified as abandonware are allowed to be uploaded to and shared on the BetaArchive FTP server.
3. If you have your own FTP server where you'd like other members to upload what you're looking for to, please don't post its login details in any open forum as that will probably lead to abuse. Post the login details in the Private Servers section instead.
4. Check that we don't already have the file on our FTP servers. If you don't have access to the FTP servers then ask someone who has (a moderator for example).

I have a few interactive multi demo discs, service disc 1.0 and NGC Tech Demo (Princess Peach's Castle). If i can post these in the beta games section, i'll be upload them slowly because i don't have a lot of time and my internet connection sucks. Now i have already uploaded the service disc and the tech demo. Also, if they can be uploaded to FTP, i won't have the possibility to do it because of the reasons before.

Um... first you ask if you can upload them, then you say you've uploaded some of them already, and then you say you can't upload them? Please, make up your mind...

Are these really betas? Sounds like just demos to me. And the service disc sounds like abandonware... Why do you consider these to be betas?

I uploaded only the service and the tech on MediaFire, i'm going to upload the demos on MediaFire too. I won't be able to upload them on FTP because i have a very slow connection. Some of the demos may have some beta content, i don't know if the service disc is abandonware, maybe it is, as well as the tech demo (the princess peach's castle one). If i post them in the right forum, someone will take a look at them. Can i post them?

The Interactive Multi-Game Demo Discs have demos of gc games (that can be extracted and converted to play standalone) and video previews.
The Service Disc is designed for the authorized Nintendo repair centers to test, diagnose and evaluate any troublesome Gamecube hardware submitted for repair. It is also home to many unusual images. Most of these images are saved as plain old bitmap files viewable without any modification.
In the Tech Demo there are eight rooms (stages) available for introducing various features and effects. In addition, there are two demo modes available for giving effective demos: normal demo mode and auto demo mode. In normal demo mode, users move from room to room using an arrow, and each feature is introduced. In auto demo mode, the camera moves automatically from room to room and each feature of each room is introduced. The total time required for all rooms is 4 minutes 30 seconds.

Some demos can be different then the final game you know... Resident Evil 2 for instance the demo had different scenes and a few different locations in the police station.

Yes, that doesn't automatically make them betas. I've seen plenty of games where the demo was made differently from the full game, but both still using the same engine and files. Demos are not created by using an axe on the full product, but rather coded especially as a demo.
