Forum rules


Please read the following rules before posting a download request in this area:

1. Don't post a request if you have under 10 posts as stated on the front page. If you do anyway, it will be deleted without further notice. This also applies to other members: If you see a request by someone with less than 10 posts and it hasn't been deleted yet, please don't reply to it.
2. Don't request for warez or any copyrighted software. Only betas (no matter how old or new) and finals of operating systems and applications that are at least 10 years old and therefore classified as abandonware are allowed to be uploaded to and shared on the BetaArchive FTP server.
3. If you have your own FTP server where you'd like other members to upload what you're looking for to, please don't post its login details in any open forum as that will probably lead to abuse. Post the login details in the Private Servers section instead.
4. Check that we don't already have the file on our FTP servers. If you don't have access to the FTP servers then ask someone who has (a moderator for example).

Here are my latest finds:

  • IBM OS/2 Warp 3.0 Connect (8.200) (Red Spine)
  • Microsoft COBOL 3.0 (3.5"-2.88MB)
  • Microsoft COBOL 4.5 (CD)
  • Microsoft Excell 2.2 for OS/2 (3.5")
  • Microsoft Excell 5.0 Development Kit (3.5")
  • Microsoft Fortran 77 3.10 (3.5"-1.2MB)
  • Microsoft QBasic 1.1 (5.25"-360kB)
  • Microsoft Quick Basic 2.01 (3.5"-720kB)
  • Microsoft Word 1.1 for OS/2 (3.5")

All are in English. I'm also waiting for some more Warp 3.0 and 4.0 international release, but for now this should be enough. Enjoy! ;)

Nothing is 100% guaranteed, though I hope I'll be able to upload these... :)

Various sources (torrents, file sharing, FTPs, ...) and lets say I never miss a good opportunity...;)

I just lost all of my OS/2 stuff when my new laptops HDD crashed... new laptop, it shouldn't have needed backing up within 3 months... If you could upload some stuff where I can get it that'd be great! if not, oh well, I'll just move on and re-aquire it like before...

No problem for me, OS/2 ISOs aren't that big actually (mostly < 200 MB)... But I must first acquire them myself. I'll let you know when/if I get them. ;)

EDIT: Here is the supposed IBM OS/2 1.30.1 Extended Edition that I am unable to check. If anyone can confirm this is 1.30.1 EE and working, they can upload it to the FTP if they want or I will do so myself. ;)

I've got my hands on IBM OS/2 Warp 4 (9.023) - Korean (CD) and Warp 3 (Red Spine) (8.200) - Swedish (3.5''-1.8MB). They are being uploaded to the FTP. ;)

nice to hear you got them uploaded, I gave up on recovering all my beta and release OS ISOs, as I found my old backup drive from 2005 with most of my important ISOs on it, and I don't want to waste my time downloading them again just to have the hard disk crash, even if it is backed up. my backup drive is getting up there in age (500GB, it was the biggest drive possible to buy when I bought it, I don't even think its SATA, lol.) and my file server is 10 years old, so I'm backing that up with what drives I do have.

I'll have to download those when I get the time, thanks! ;)
