Forum rules

Please read the following rules before posting a download request in this area:

1. Don't post a request if you have under 10 posts as stated on the front page. If you do anyway, it will be deleted without further notice. This also applies to other members: If you see a request by someone with less than 10 posts and it hasn't been deleted yet, please don't reply to it.
2. Don't request for warez or any copyrighted software. Only betas (no matter how old or new) and finals of operating systems and applications that are at least 10 years old and therefore classified as abandonware are allowed to be uploaded to and shared on the BetaArchive FTP server.
3. If you have your own FTP server where you'd like other members to upload what you're looking for to, please don't post its login details in any open forum as that will probably lead to abuse. Post the login details in the Private Servers section instead.
4. Check that we don't already have the file on our FTP servers. If you don't have access to the FTP servers then ask someone who has (a moderator for example).

I own an original set (12 disks) but disk 12 could not be imaged. It is the disk with the file "PTR.S02".

If someone has this file or an image of the disk it would be nice. :-)

Btw... I'm looking for the MS-DOS version... NOT the Windows version thats on the FTP (and provided by me)...

Would not help a thing since the disk is physically damaged... track 36 to 39 on head 1 are all 4 damaged due to that... Already tried multiple drives but no luck with it...
The most annoying part about it is that I also have copy's of the disks from another set I got but that are only disk 3 to 10... so not disk 12 I just need...

Today I tried to image the disk again and got it copied! well... after I did something with it I saw on TouTube...

I never thought about it but did you know you can actually clean a floppy? To put it to the test I cut open a "half" working floppy (1 or 2 tracks were dead) and sprayed it with glass cleaner. After that I took a soft towel, rub it lightly and put it in some water. Let it dry for a few minutes, put it back in it's "case" and took it to the test in my floppy drive. After a minute or so WinImage was ready with formatting and verifying and the disk was working for 100%.

I did the same trick with the WP disk (except for the "cut it open part", just to keep it original) and after a drying period I took it to the test and it worked! Got a complete WP 5.1 NL collection now. :D

Nice work =). Is that something you can send up to us? Would be good for the collection as well as preserve it the next time your floppy goes bad :).

I have more to upload in queue but due to a hard drive crash (well, actually a controller crash) my server is down at the moment and the HDD with all my Microsoft and other software is unplugged so I cannot make any mistakes. Nothing wrong with this disk since it's plugged to the main board directly and it is my RAID controller which crashed... (Note to self: NEVER buy a RAID controller without a processor again... this crash is the 3rd within a year)
I hope to have it restored next weekend.
