Forum rules


Please read the following rules before posting a download request in this area:

1. Don't post a request if you have under 10 posts as stated on the front page. If you do anyway, it will be deleted without further notice. This also applies to other members: If you see a request by someone with less than 10 posts and it hasn't been deleted yet, please don't reply to it.
2. Don't request for warez or any copyrighted software. Only betas (no matter how old or new) and finals of operating systems and applications that are at least 10 years old and therefore classified as abandonware are allowed to be uploaded to and shared on the BetaArchive FTP server.
3. If you have your own FTP server where you'd like other members to upload what you're looking for to, please don't post its login details in any open forum as that will probably lead to abuse. Post the login details in the Private Servers section instead.
4. Check that we don't already have the file on our FTP servers. If you don't have access to the FTP servers then ask someone who has (a moderator for example).

UPDATE: Everything has been uploaded. The language is Brazilian - Portugese.

  • Microsoft Access 2.0 February 1994 Release
  • Microsoft Access 2.0 March 1994 Release - Portugese
  • Microsoft Excell 5.0 Beta 2.0
  • Microsoft Excell 5.0 - Portugese
  • Microsoft FoxPro for Windows 2.5
  • Microsoft Plus! Game Pack: Cards and Puzzles
  • Microsoft PowerPoint 4.0
  • Microsoft PowerPoint 4.0c - Portugese
  • Microsoft Word 6.0a - Portugese
  • Microsoft Works 3.0 Retail
  • Microsoft Works 3.0 Retail - Portugese
  • Shapeware Corp. Visio 1.0

These are confirmed and will be uploaded, I also have some other PowerPoint, Word and Works (English and Portugese) to check. Access I uploaded is from February 94, the one on the FTP is from March 94. Dashboard 2.0 is version D1735B, the one on the FTP is version 1.01 D1735A. Excell seems to be beta 2.0 or at least some sort of pre-release version. The English PowerPoint 4.0 is the retail version 4.0 12 disks, the one on the FTP is retail version 4.0a 13 disks. All this is also explained in the "INFORMATION.TXT" file I provided.

I also got Shapeware Corp. Visio 1.0 and Microsoft Plus! Game Pack: Cards and Puzzles. I began uploading the confirmed stuff, hopefully more is yet to come... ;)

I waited for someone to upload Plus! Game Pack: Cards and Puzzles for so long and no one did so I bought it on eBay LOL. Thanks still you should UL it. :)

Guess I was a little late... :P But anyway, these were found on an old warez compilation disc with lots of Windows 3.X programs and utilities. Unfortunately, the original file dates were lost and I also had to make the images myself... :/

EDIT: It seems I found another beta/pre-release, this time it's Word Preview Version 6.0 (2024)... :o Everything in the list has been uploaded. Enjoy! ;)

The Microsoft Gamepack Cards and puzzles would be nice! I havn't played it in years! my disks are probably gone sadly, I had a flood in 1999 which took out 50% of my software, but thats off-topic.

I had just came accross a portuguese office 97, and I can't rember where... If I find it I'll let you know. but I'm 97% sure its on the FTP (although I have no way of knowing...)

I couldn't find it there...

Also, I should have been clearer - I'm looking for the Brazilian Portuguese version of Office 97 Small Business Edition specifically (as well as the same version of Publisher 98).

@theponderism some things are deeply buried in the FTP (not that I would know) but every FTP I come accross has its share of randomly placed items. it could be in a different directory or somthing.

@ideeman1994 congralutations on getting your advanced membership! I'm mostly here to help (and be helped) so I'm trying to keep my membership approval chances safe, I used one up about a year ago, lol!

but I can't seem to find the disk, I know I still have it somewhere, but it slipped my mind. it was given to me by a friend who traveled to various parts of Europe and even Africa, and he brought me back some foreign software, even a german copy of netscape navigator 1.5 (on 3 floppy's, it must have been from the near end of the floppy disk era) but I put some in a box and set it aside for future things, because I'm english and I can't really understand anything else very much, :P (^)
