I've got a pile of "junk" (in my eyes (a.t.m.)) diskettes which are about to get formatted (except for some original IBM disks). If you see something of interest then let me know so I can image it before it's lost...

Let me know it in the following format:


If you want the diskette from photo 3, row 2 column 4 then write down 3B4. Or photo 11, row 1, column 2 would be 11A2.

Take not that I cannot guarantee the quality nor the items on the disks... I will do my best to make a perfect copy but as told I cannot guarantee a thing...

A1 = Not yet requested and/or not yet imaged.
A1 = Can't make a 100% image. Mostly because of this failure: "0x20 Controller failed". Disk is kept for later processing on other hardware.
A1 = couldn't be imaged at all... Mostly because of this failure: "0x02 Address mark not found". Disk is kept for later processing on other hardware.
A1 = Download available but improper (see log file). (if there is a *.rar file inside with files then it will mean that these ALL the files from the disk if in IBM format, if no *.rar is present then the files did not copy properly) Disk is kept for later processing on other hardware.
A1 = Download available. Disk will be formatted very soon (if not already) so if you think the image is not O.K., be quick to respond!

P.S. I won't destroy original disks but since I have no use for them at the moment and it's not a complete thing I won't image them yet for myself... thats why they are in the photo's above...

Are there...OS/2 Warp 3 Beta disks there? I seen a couple disks that say "OS/2 Warp 2.99 Beta" in image 2.

2C1 and 2C2 are OS/2 War 2.99 Beta disks. Make us images please, MBaNL.

BA already has OS/2 Warp "2.99" beta (which are essentially Warp 3.0 betas). Those floppies are most likely just the boot floppies considering that the BA version is over 250MB in size...

Also, anyone noticed those OS/2 Merlin disks? They're probably boot disks for a beta version of OS/2 Warp 4.0, which we don't have. So 6B1, 6B2 and 6B3 please...

Seconded. The Merlin disks would be interesting to check out.

I already asked for the Merlin disks in a previous post. What i am worried about is if MBaNL still hasn't formatted them.

Well thats my biggest problem and why I need the help of the BA community to see if there is anything interesting.



It's about 24 hours ago I posted this topic... It might take a year before I even think of formatting the disks. already got a pile of disks which are O.K. and formatted so there is no real need to format the ones in this topic right now. But... they will eventually...

Anyway, I've imaged the 5 disks that were asked for. 4 of them are a 100% copy and 1 couldn't be imaged at all... Will save the disk for a later stadium to try again or with other hardware. But I think it should be considered as "lost".

Now that IS interesting. Perhaps someone could also take a look at the ones we got on BA and compare? This is really interesting and I'd be happy to take a look at those floppies as well, perhaps there's even a disc hidden somewhere?

I'll leave it to the judgement of the members here to dig out the interesting parts on these floppies .

If you mean by disc a CD... unfortunately not. It were only floppy's that I bought...

Can see if I can contact the seller again (after about a year orso) to ask if he have the CD's...

EDIT: found the mail back and surprisingly I asked for the CD's back then... THIS was the photo I got back but after I asked for a price he never replied to that question...
Anyway, I've send him a "reminder" and asked if he still have the discs... let's hope so.

EDIT2: Had some spare time and thought I image all the floppy's from photo 1... what a hell was that. As you can see there are only 3 floppy's there, the rest could not be imaged for 100%...

Told ya it's worth saving...

Anyway, yeah, it would be interesting to have the entire build, though we're lucky we got the boot floppies at least...

Found some floppy's I t thought I've lost... Made 5 new photo's for them and put it in the starting post. Espacially (MS-)DOS game enthusiasts may appreciate these from what I see at the labels...

Hmm, some interesting OS/2 software there:
SyTOS/2, a QIC backup software for OS/2.
Watcom VxREXX, a REXX language IDE.
MKS Pro 4.2, that seems to be a framework for porting UNIX applications.
So, I'd be grateful if you could image 3A3, 3A4, 3B3 and 3B4; 7B1, 7B2 and 7B3; 6A3, 6A4 and 6B4

That's what's written on the label, if I can still see correctly... Would be interesting to check out.

Appears to be disk 11 out of 11 disks for WinWord.

Disk can't be imaged properly, will try again on other hardware. What I saw was an installation for Word for Windows (supposedly Disk 11 out of 11 (volume name: WW60D144)) from 1993 (1993:11:15 12:00:00) and from what I see it's German (files: herbst.wm_, pferd.wm_ rahmen1.wm_).
Also, the part that is iamged is infected (Virus:DOS/Form) according to MSE. Don't know if it's a false positive since the image is improper of if a file is infected or the bootsector.

For all the other questions for images... see the starting post for more information and (probably) images. Not all of them are 100% copy's so I will try again on other hardware.
