Forum rules

Please read the following rules before posting a download request in this area:

1. Don't post a request if you have under 10 posts as stated on the front page. If you do anyway, it will be deleted without further notice. This also applies to other members: If you see a request by someone with less than 10 posts and it hasn't been deleted yet, please don't reply to it.
2. Don't request for warez or any copyrighted software. Only betas (no matter how old or new) and finals of operating systems and applications that are at least 10 years old and therefore classified as abandonware are allowed to be uploaded to and shared on the BetaArchive FTP server.
3. If you have your own FTP server where you'd like other members to upload what you're looking for to, please don't post its login details in any open forum as that will probably lead to abuse. Post the login details in the Private Servers section instead.
4. Check that we don't already have the file on our FTP servers. If you don't have access to the FTP servers then ask someone who has (a moderator for example).

Hi. I looking for IomegaWare, Tools or any software for ZIP driver (100 MB Paraller Port) which can boost it to max speed like I can on MS-DOS/Windows 3.x under Windows 9x and NT. I looking sometime but I found only software which got only driver, but under Windows 95, 98, NT etc. it is very slow and I don't know how to boost it like under DOS. Under dos I just use optppm1 software and it works very good, I got personally version 6.0 some years ago I searching and it was best version (with 7.0 I got many problems, 5.0 don't have optppm1 etc.). I'll be very happy if anyone know where to get for ZIP drivers under Windows 9x/NT to boost it to the max. Second thing is JAZ drive. I planning to buy it very soon, and I will connect it thru Paraller port (special cable, but JAZ got normal only SCSI) and I don't if driver from ZIP drivers its same or I need some other special drivers. Thanks all in advance for help :).

DOS/Windows 3.1 drivers *may* work on Windows 95, but I'm not quite sure.

I remember messing with the parallel port configuration in BIOS when i had an external Iomega 100 Zip Drive. I sold it when pen drives became standard, but i still have 1 working internal Zip Drive and another with the Click of Death :/

Did you try the official page?
http://www.iomega.com/support/documents/10425.html

or some older drivers, maybe downloads are still available:

With the archive, it's just a question of luck: I have found downloads I couldn't find anywhere (old original motherboard drivers, even files from MS!), other times I can't even find a page. Most of the times it has the page but not the download, but at least it gives you a filename to google for
