One time, many years ago, when I was attempting to install Caldera OpenLinux (I'll have to check back for the version number, possibly 2.0, possible 4.0, but it was from around 1997, having been published in a book of which was from around 1998), and while I was at the command prompt, having attempted to log in, I received the following error message:

I must say, though, that it was quite unexpected to say the least.
