@up:
The first one is kinda cool, but the second looks like you made it using Paint.

Honestly they both look like they were made in Paint but despite that they're still pretty neat ;)

I made them both in Paint, as I didn't have Adobe on the ol' PC, but now there's Macromedia 7 on there now...

Should have changed the colour of the logo I think so it's a little more clear.

I think a white 8 logo looks better, oh, and I changed the copyright to 2012.

If anyone wants it, I have a Windows 3.1 bootscreen template (by that I mean no logo, no version)

I almost forgot that I still had this on my computer. Everything except the wallpaper was made by me.

For some reason the first thing i thought when seeing that screenshot was: "The Naked Windows 33 1/3: The Final Error!"

Introducing Windows Kyoto:

Windows Kyoto is a touch-oriented operating system that's fast and easy to use. Windows Kyoto was designed with legacy PCs in mind, using only 190MB of memory for the OS at maximum. Kyoto brings back the Aero experience with new effects and new ways to interact with the operating system. The operating system comes in two editions, Desktop and Touch. Desktop has the normal Aero experience, while Touch (pictured here) has larger icons and is more touch-friendly, but still incorporates the Aero style you know and love.

Image

The Kyoto start menu is pretty much the same as Windows 7, with minor UX improvements and is easier to use on a touchscreen.

More pictures to come. :)

I don't pick favorites.
That looks slick Patrick. Too bad it isn't real, because I would certainly want to use it.

The latest build in the winmain branch...features a beta of Panels, basically a information center like the sidebar.
Also a new start menu icon.

Those icons seem familiar, as does the general look, its from one of the Linux distros (can't remember which). Quite nice. Although the reminder seems a bit annoying for some reason, maybe thats why they try not to personalise computer messages.

PS. Interesting events happen in 2013 :OD

PPS. 20 years imprisionment! Wouldn't want to be caught making a leak.

I made a 6xx Windows 95 screenshot, but since my laptop screen is completely cracked by a soccer ball, i will later upload it.

I faked it :D

Here's how:

http://10fastfingers.com/speedtests/generate_screenshot_result/WPM_KEYSTROKES_0_0_CORRECTWORDS_INCORRECTWORDS_PERCENTAGE_WHICHPLACE_OFHOWMUCH

replace these with your own values, and voila :D

Easy trick, there has to be many people who already knew of this, but I thought it would be nice to share.
