this prototype you mean was only under developers hands. nothing public, unfortunately.

Nevertheless, I would appreciate if anyone who has that version shared it here only, not public if doesn't want to.

I've been a Gothic mod developer for some time. From what I know the video depicts a very early alpha version of the game. I have seen many screenshots using this HUD which can't be found in any playable version I know, not even demos. I know that there are many leftovers from the early days in the game's script files, however I, too, would really like to play this alpha version. I would be thankful if anybody could find and upload it

edit: From what I know in its early days Gothic was designed to be a console game (Playstation), too. That's why the menu and stuff is all controlled by the keyboard.

You are not alone, i´d love to play an early version of Gothic aswell!
Unfortunately this will likely never happen. However, here is a german topic in the german Gothic forum that is about the developement of Gothic, lots of infos, videos and pics of the alpha and beta phase...
