Hi all ! I am new to this wonderful site! Incredible work being done here. I've just downloaded UE3 2004 engine beta and will attempt to run it. (might need help)
Also I've just got hl2 anon alpha version and some patches. Still looking for proper doom3 alpha and painkiller.
I remember those years. Playing those alphas Awaiting those wonderful games. This forum is a blast for me. I don't have access to the ftp servers. Am I good with forums only or do I really need that access if I am heavily into games betas (and patches to make them work correctly) ? I mostly care about e3 presentations and other tech demos, so there isn't all that much of this stuff
edit MG. I just got myself access to Your FTP server.
IT IS GLORIOUS HEAVEN ?! Who am I suppose to thank ? I will donate somehting in a couple of months after I get a work This is so awesome words cannot describe it

I hope you people upload these to BA as they come in? I rarely check this thread and it would be a lot helpful if people upped these to the FTP so we can preserve them.

Just found while browsing my old cds - Slave Zero pre-alpha demo.
Code:
Slave Zero(tm) README.TXT January 4, 1999 (c)1998, 1999 Accolade, Inc. All rights reserved. This demo only represents a small portion of the final product. The demo has a sample mission which contains a few weapons and a few enemies.
The final game will include intense multiplayer action, mammoth bosses, greater functionality and of course more missions and a lower minimum system requirement
This version has not been optimized and requires a PII 266 or equivalent to function acceptably.

No it isn't. I released the prototype years ago on my site, it was a legitimate prototype cart. I dont deal in fakes.
The included readme promised an updated interactive demo available from Interplay's website:
Quote:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------ INTERPLAY DISCLAIMER ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This version of the DESCENT TO UNDERMOUNTAIN demo is a special Computer Gaming World only preview of the upcoming interactive demo. It does contain some known bugs which may lock up your system.
For an updated version of the DESCENT TO UNDERMOUNTAIN interactive demo, please point your browser to Interplay's Dragonplay website at http://www.interplay.dragonplay.com and download the demo from the DESCENT TO UNDERMOUNTAIN product page.
However, it appears that only a non-interactive preview was released for download (here's an archived copy of the demo downloads page).

Ah, it's just that the Wayback Machine doesn't have the file. I suppose it's available on the net somewhere. Pity they didn't make a complete playable demo though, the game was rather unusual.

Here's a PSX Metal Gear Solid pre-release demo. This version has a different main menu (only 2 entries). It has english subtitles but codec audio is in japaneese. The demo ends when you enter first ventilation.

May I remind our members (especially our new ones) that this thread is only for offers and not requests. And please check our FTP archives before you post stuff, if we have it already then there's no need to post it here again.
Any requests here will be permanently deleted and the user will be issued a warning. We have strict rules regarding requesting releases.
Thanks goes to all members offering new releases here, I try to check in on this thread from time to time, but if you want to make sure that your offer gets into our archives make sure you upload it to our FTP (and if you can't upload due to no access then PM me and I'll setup a temporary upload account for you).
