I signed up too. I love how the game ALREADY looks incredibly beautiful, even though the screenshots are marked "early prototype. Not representative of quality of final product." I can't wait to see how they make it BETTER.

On a somewhat related note, the Mass Effect 3 beta is out, and it is GORGEOUS.

What are you talking about? Nowhere in the rules does it forbid a user from sharing the link to a legal game in development that they think people would be interested in.

Did you even follow the link? No, it's not a browser-based game. It's a free-to-play tactical shooter (with mechs) that just entered Beta stage.

Actually, UE3 is a very optimized engine and runs very well

So you should be able to run this game decent on a mid range PC with no problems!

Depends on the game, actually. Mirror's Edge was built on UE3 if I remember correctly, and it has a hard time running on my gaming PC, which has an i7 quad-core processor, 4 GB RAM, and a higher-end graphics card. Same with Mass Effect 1 (Mass Effect 2 runs just fine despite having an upgraded engine and much better graphics).

Must be something off with your system then. I had no issues playing Mirror's Edge on my old C2D with everything maxed out using a two generation old videocard. But UE3 is very optimized and nicely coded and it's very flexible since it can create stuff for multiple platforms with very good speed.

Yeah that's kinda off, I can play Mirrors Edge just fine on my rig with an i5 and an 8800GTS SSC.
