Are you guys open to suggestions? If so, is there a chance that we could see a video of the Sonic X-treme prototype that's up on BA's server? I really have been getting into what made this project for what it is, so it'd be interesting to see what it's like when it's running properly, especially since I am not in possession of a Sega Saturn. And I have tried emulating it, but the textures and stuff are rendered kinda poorly, so... yeah.
I finally managed to get a Saturn but it will still be a while as I'll have to mod it so that I can run it.

Great channel! I remember the TimeShift video thats on there, back in the day I had the demo for that game, it rocked. To bad the final game was meh in comparison.
Really brings back memorys, even though it was not all that long ago.

Sorry about the huge bump but I've still been trying to record more Doom 3 footage, sadly I've only managed to record little bits and bobs since recently it's decided that it dislikes fraps and ends up reaching 4fps at some points while recording and I've also started experiencing bizarre glitches in the game (they dissapear however when recording with fraps). On the bright side I'll be uploading a few little bits I recorded today, especially footage of the zombie animations as they look so natural in this early build that it makes them more scary than the final zombies (well in my oppinion anyway) and a little bit of footage of one of the machines in the early build.
So in other words keep an eye out as another Doom 3 video is on its way!

New video guys! I spent a while looking for this one...

This technical demonstration was intended to show the new features of the then next-gen Unreal Engine 2 in 2002. While I actually can't confirm it yet there appears to be early Gears of War content in this video (locust symbol used on some doors and visible on pale guys model near end) and therefore I have added Gears of War to the title of the video however this is obviously not officially what the video is supposed to be showing. As for the engines "abilities" there are no major differences visible in this video (or non that I'm aware of).

For those that didn't know, the Unreal 2 E3 Alpha has many references to Unreal Warfare and COG items in the editor. Similar with UT2004's editor, I think theres a "COGTurret" or something in there.
During the closing of Unreal Warfare's development, the "Warfare" part became UT2004's "Onslaught" and most of the remainder became Gears of War. I think some other assets made it to Unreal Championship too, but I'm not sure.
Shame we never saw much...or anything really, of Unreal Warfare. I know I saw people who tested it posting bugs on a fourm at one point, but those posts were from a good 10 years ago now...

For whoever uploaded the video with the Van Buren/cancelled Fallout 3 models; what version of 3dSmax did you use to open the models from FOnline? I'm trying 3dSmax9, but it's bitching about errors that hint there's an incompatibility issue.

Brink - Pax 2010 Gameplay
Quote:
One of the most interesting things in this video are with the heads up display, throughout development Brinks HUD and menus seem to have gone through many changes which have been visible in various public videos. It's also interesting to note in these older videos that originally Brink was to use an arrow at the top of the screen to point you to your objective, it is not known why this was removed but it may have been decided that having icons point out the various different objectives on the screen would be less distracting to the player.

Brink - Container City 2009 Gameplay
Quote:
This video of Brink from 2009 shows us container city. While this video was released a year before the game was released there are actually very few differences to the map itself, however once again there are a lot of differences with the UI and other elements, most notably a lot of the models have some interesting differences. It's also interesting to note that players don't get knocked down in this build, they always die when they run out of health however this may have just been done like this for this demonstration.
