Now that Sinofsky seems to have 99% plugged the leaks of Windows, what does the future hold for BA ?

Yes there will be a DP, CP and RP in the future of new MS OS's, but nothing like there has been for all the previous Windows releases.

I know people still enjoy all the current builds on the FTP, but a sad day for continuing the collection ?

I wouldn't necessarily worry about it. Leaks will happen. It may not happen close to when they were compiled...but it will happen.

As long as there are unleaked Longhorn Builds then BetaArchive shall stay alive. ;)

Leaks will still happen. Sinofsky, despite what some may think, is not a god, nor will he be hanging around Windows forever. Indeed, the rate he's going, he'll either balls something up big-time, or get promoted out of there sooner or later.

Win8 leaks have been impacted by non-Microsoft issues too - just look at how we had a few good early leaks, that have since dried up. They haven't stopped getting out of MS, Winunleaked's heavily-watermarked screenshots have shown that. They're just not getting spread around as much at the moment. And that comes down to individual behaviour, which is a far less reliable security measure.

From what I understood, the first few leaks of 8 were plugged by firing the people / person who leaked them, and the screenshots on winunleaked are taken by someone who is a genuine beta tester who never leaks anything

Supposedly they were fired.

No, that's just the impression they like to give.

Microsoft, in their defence, have never, to my knowledge, made such a statement. The story was started by Canouna, regarding the firing of employees, but has not been followed up. I am willing to be corrected, if someone can point me to a more reliable source.

Regarding Zukona as that was the source involved here. His MS source or employee was fired as far as I know this is not coming from canouna and Zukona went into hiding. Now regarding the Windows 7989 leaker who was not a part of MS as he was HP he is no longer affiliated with the company.
