I think you should care less about what your AV says and put BA in some exclusion list, just use common sense and don't worry if some junk AV gives you a false reading on sites. If you trust the site is good then go for it, at worst if you're unsure just avoid to download anything from it and use a proper browser (i.e anything except IE). BetaArchive doesn't have any malware of any kind so it's good regardless what your AV says.

I'm using McAfee total protection with McAfee site advisor and it is green on BA. I don't know why every McAfee product on my computer (scaner, tray) [even if i don't use them] is using ~70 MB of RAM (I mean amount is 70 MB)

Lucky you...

McAfee and Norton say it's safe too

Offtopic Comment
also, random thing - the founder of McAfee was arrested for having an illegal firearm and his dog was also murdered.

It's not avast's fault really, it's because of the haters out there that badmouth BA. I use Avast free, just disable WebRep if you don't like it.

This is a support thread, not a boast about your favourite AV thread. 8-)

Yeah, I know but sometimes I like to boast and get offtopic.
