You need to have 3 posts ACCEPTED by a Moderator or Administrator, before it is sent automatically. And if a post IS denied, they WILL send you an e-mail why.

Private messages cannot be sent untill you have more than 3 posts

To control spam, we keep new user's topics from appearing on the forum until AFTER the staff looks over them and approves them. This is a slight inconvenience, but one that is necessary to keep the forum clean and tidy.
We apologize for the slight delay that happens because of this, but I do hope you realize this is a necessary evil to keep people from flooding the forum with senseless drivel and spam.

May I also add that sometimes, a post may not pass moderation because it's pointless, poorly written, plagiarism or any number of reasons.
