When I connect to the official server through Filezilla it does not wan't to download files? the Right-click Download is darkened out, and double clicking doesn't work?

Because it's been asked lots of times and people never bother searching. It saves yet another useless topic asking the same question when we already have the answer.

I can't seem to connect to the server at all. I've done a password and IP lock refresh but when it tries to connect it says 'critical error, can not connect to server'.
This is the first time I've been back to the site since the 'older' FTP system where we didn't have individual user accounts.
There's probably a faq for it. Should probably have looked before coming here...

I just have to say, I almost started a thread asking / having the same problem. I can't believe I didn't notice it was on "Computer", they shouldn't do that. It should start out in the Home Directory.

Delete the connection from your client and re-make it. Enter the details exactly as shown on the ftp servers page. I can see you've never logged in with the new system so make sure you're putting in everything correctly. Your username is your forum username, password is one you generate on the FTP page and the rest of the details should be the same, same host, port 50000 and implicit SSL/TLS.

You can't download to "My Computer", so select a folder to download to.
This is a common problem, and I wish the FZ developers would fix it or provide a useful message to tell you why you can't download...
Another thing I'd like them to change is a warning for when you try to download to a drive that hasn't got enough space, I was once really confused why it came up with random errors after downloading most of one file, then realised I didn't have enough space, why couldn't FZ just tell me?
And pausing single downloads, you just can't do it, you have to delete the download, and then remember what you were downloading so that you don't end up with half downloaded files.
