Before 10.4, retail Mac OS didn't ever included intro animations. Only preinstalled systems has them.

Nice video. Made me think of something I found while very bored on Archive.org. It's a TV special about System 7 from 1991.

That's awesome, never seen it before. Oh well, Apple wasn't really soaring back then anyway.

I can't stand to even see the leopard intro anymore.
I've seen it way to much when I was building my hackint0sh.

They're the same because it says 'Welcome' in all of the supported languages. Why would you need to change something a lot of people like and more importantly works? The TAM's Intro was cool, and it's startup chime was the best of any Mac released. I wish I had a TAM :(
Offtopic Comment
My favourite OSX Intro was Leopard/Snow Leopard's, purely because of the song and how it moved from language to language. I wasn't keen on Tiger's light through all the languages though.

They are all different in a way so most likely. The only reason Snow Leopard had the same intro as Leopard was because Snow Leopard is essentially an Intel-enhanced Leopard. Perfect way for Apple to ditch the good old PowerPC platform (Operating System-wise).

I installed OS8 several times, and lately, but I never saw the intro...
When is it supposed to come out, upon the first boot?
Do you know where is the quicktime file stored?

All intros load at first boot (I don't know about OS9 but OSX does it before you enter your user details. OS9 is probably the same for that matter).

Nice video. Yeah, towards the end of these intros, they start to use more of the Welcome in English and other languages. No wonder they made the intro shorter after Mac OS 8. It was so boring to watch after a minute lol.
