So I have a Mac with a corrupt hard drive, but from the looks of it there's no good way to write the system 7.5.3 images on the Mac FTP onto floppies. Anyone have an idea on how to go about doing this?

You can try useing a CD-R and burning a image with a system on it.
Basilisk II can use real scsi disks and let you network as well. or you can just use it to make the floppies but that disk set can not boot. You need a boot disk
download and copy the system 7.5 network access floppy disk to you mac that can boot.

his mac may not have a CD ROM. I found out that my NUbus Mac has a defective HDD by booting DiskTools 8.5 floppy, but thats PPC only. I knew a way to write floppy images on a PC back then.

well you can use HVFexplorer to copy to floppy still need a disk tools disk.
with the Apple File Exchange extension you can read pc disks on the mac.
Winimage is a life saver. The problem is finding images or how to extract them on windows. However I have a mac mini and sheepshaver on 10.6 is a life saver. OS 9.0.4 extracts all the images and and makes clean ones. Then I transfer the image to a usb flash stick. And then into my windows. Then winimage it. The img files don't loose anything in the conversion from mac to pc and works fine. Only the extracted files like system and finder loose their resourse fork and refuse to work so winimage is needed. But the burned floppys work great on mac. I made 2 6.0.8 using dlds from apples website. It booted my SE great.
