Hello all,
I've made a few changes to the site today, mostly cosmetic. - updated the About Us text on the homepage - changed all instances of the word "BETA" and "Beta" to "beta" as its not an abbreviation or a properly capitalised word. If you see any more of these let me know so I can change those too. - added "Discussion" to the end of the software, game, hardware, application, web design, programming, support forums, as all discussion should go in those forums too rather than offtopic/computer discussion. - renamed two categories, Technical Discussion > Operating System and Game Discussion, Support Section > Support and Discussion Section
Should I add any more this evening I'll add them to the list.

Any chance that you can add a button that allow a topic to be move from one category to another?
There already is a feature, for moderators. Normal users can't do it because they're not moderators... They have no rights to move topics. I don't know of any forum that would allow this anyway...

^^ yeah i agree, i would never allow members to move topics, this would easily get things lost or misplaced, most forums do not allow that, it is usually left to the resposibility of the mods and upper staff, i like the "search" function very good idea, and the "beta" text also!

I know the profile button is on the bottom of a post but I always find my self clicking the persons name first, I was wondering if the screen names or user avatars could be hyper links to the users profiles?

I see zamadatix's point. I do that all the time and support zamadatix's idea.

But, if you want to use "have" it would have to be "some softwares have a lot of betas" - software then becoming plural. Which isn't good English at all...

"Has" sounds better to me, but it may be better to say something like "there are many builds of some products". I think I would also switch around the question and exclamation marks in "Wait, so its really all free!?", I think the question mark would normally go first where both are used.

Great, now we're all happy I have more changes to come as stated in the blog but all in due time. Lots to work on and finalise text wise too. You should know that its not just me that writes the text you see on the site, mrpijey does review and often edits the text, so its combination of both our work and grammar! You can probably tell which parts are his and which are mine, as his is more complex wording in most cases.
I'll keep you up to date with more posts regarding the changes anyway.
