I hope it's useful to someone and you find some nice hidden gems in there
Unfortunately it's not very nice looking as it's so hard to deal with 25,000+ files with PHP At the moment it's manually generated but I will make it update once a day eventually via cron job. The reason being that the number of files takes a long time to scan with PHP, so it generates a high server load. Static pages make much more sense.
The images are stretched in some places because it's set to fixed 250px width, but without a php thumbnail script I can't do an awful lot about it. It was only put together in about 2 hours anyway

Sometimes there is an error with the image uploader where the original image isn't saved but the thumbnail is. It's rare and I haven't been able to track down why it happens. No image is ever removed from the image uploader unless it's obscene.

You could try using Google to see if it gives you a topic with the URL in it. Just copy the URL into a search, it should show the topic it got posted in.

Is it possible that you could fix the broken images?
Also, I did find some interesting screenshots, many Longhorn screenshots, but also some Windows Server 2008 screenshots, and even quite a few Windows 7 screenshots. I also saw screenshots of a copy of Neptune Build 5111, of which had somehow been converted from the Personal variant to the Server variant.

The broken images are only broken because the original does not exist. They were either lost in a previous transfer or the image uploader never saved the original - it's a known rare fault which I haven't been able to track down.

It is most certainly NOT rare at all. No offence, but there are even images of which I'm quite certain would load properly, had I clicked on the thumbnail links of which were provided in the original posts, so to me, it seems to be a problem with the way your procedure grouped the image-related links together, and/or handled them.
EDIT: There are massive, yes, MASSIVE amounts of images past around Page 48 of which will NOT load at all, apart from the thumbnails. I would say probably about 100+ on the pages past Page 48 that I encountered, though I didn't have time to count them all, since it would be worthless to me to count a load of images that don't load at all.
EDIT 2: An example is this: This is a screenshot of which I posted on this forum over a year ago on January 29th, 2010. Although it would simply not load at all whenever I clicked on the link within the "View All Images" page, it worked fine when I clicked on the original link in the original post.
I even compared the filenames, and yes, they are EXACTLY the same, so rather than the problem being the full-sized image not being saved, the problem is rather the forum's response to the links of which are being used in the user's attempt at accessing the images.
EDIT 3: Actually, I FINALLY found out what it was!
Apparently, I noticed that the supposed filenames were NOT exactly the same as I had thought. In reality, the problem with the broken images is caused by the wrong extension being specified for the images (in this case, although the rest of the filename was kept intact, the link to the above mentioned image of which I was attempting to use had a .JPG extension, even when the image in reality has a .GIF extension).
In other words, the so-called "broken images" are not broken in any sense, just that the wrong file extensions were being specified for them upon their grouping within the "View All Images" page.
