[Last post] And that's why Donations are needed. If we could get half the adult members to pay 5 bucks a month the server costs would probably be covered.

DanielC is right. The SLA times was also a nice upside from upgrading. They might be more inclined to help with DDoS's now (fingers crossed). Anyway server is up and running (as the screenshots show).
I've done a speedtest to UK, Paris and Germany. they came out as:
UK - Down: 120Mbps, UP: 80Mbps Germany - Down: 90Mbps, UP: 70Mbps France - Down: 420Mbps, UP: 170Mbps
OVH restrict connections to 100Mbps per transit links so anyone who has to be connected to over transit is limited to 100Mbps maximum. Anyone in Europe will generally be on peering (but not always) so are capable of 1Gbps. We'll do more speed tests at a later date.

If we change from kimsufi to OVH, will there be a better international exit?
For now it doesn't even get close to decent :/

Remember at times it's not just one person DDoSing but sometimes a whole hacker network which might easily reach 1 Gbps or more. Look at wikileaks hackers, 20 Gbps!

The 4 cores with HT, does the HT really make much of a difference? I know at the time the first Pentium 4 had HT, it didn't as software wasn't created to utilise it, and it was removed from Intel processors and then they wanted to bring it back again (not sure if they did in newer CPUs) is it any more useful than it was?
