Not so weird, apparently.

While 7850 is based on Windows 7 SP1 code, 7955 is not; I have noticed references throughout this build to Windows Server 2008 (pre-R2), the last x32-based server OS that Microsoft shipped. (Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows Home Server 2011 are both x64-only, which eliminates that OS as the code-branch source.)

Further, Microsoft has never supported (or allowed) crossgrading from a desktop/workstation OS to a server OS.

Lastly, it's Way Too Early in the build/test process to be testing upgrades.

my first post from 7955. So far so good. I am liking the fly animations and i am very impressed by the boot time. Its ridiculously fast.

As said, VirtualBox has issues with the addons. makes Windows 8 slow graphics wise =/

Cant wait for 64-bit release.That wil be when I use it as a main OS

i tried both redpill v1 and v2. v1 works fine for me with aero while v2 doesn't support aero. i did notice with stock, v1 and v2 slc windows update doesn't work. when you try to go into device manager explorer crashes. flash in chrome has no audio. it works on ie though.

Download Redpill for build 7955, it unlocks almost everything found so far.

thanx for the link. why don't you use windows usb tool. its great. that way you don't have to waste dvds. you just install it thru usb. its faster aswell.

hey dude i which version of usb tool did you use cause i just downloaded and tryed 1.0 and it did not work
