Does anyone know how to download this "windows 8" from our site?

this is great! I can't grab it from the ftp since I was denied access, but hope to see it soon. I'm looking forward to seeing if Narrator has gotten any make overs. could someone boot the iso and see if hitting windows U starts up the screen reader? Currently if you're blind you can't install Windows when live-booting the ISO.

Otherwise, great work to everyone to helped leak it/or the person who uploaded it. I mean, it's milestone 1 and all but who cares? I'm just glad to finally have a win8 build on hand

Did any of you notice how MS is drastically decreasing ISO sizes? Vista was gigantic but I think with win8 we are seeing a rapid shrinkage of the ISO size. Interesting EH?

The main reason people are signing up is so that they can hoard Windows 8. Most people don't even deserve it.

Can't wait to try it, Wish there was a M2 build tho.

Interesting on the install size is smaller then 7.

Worked fine for me. There do seem to be short slow downs occasionally though. Doesn't explain why it got posted 5 times though.

Really really rubbish video i cobbled together in literally 5 minutes to show it in action.

It's nice its been leaked (even if it is fairly old) but I see no good reason to download it yet, I'm actually more interested in trying out old Longhorn & Windows 7 builds than anything Windows 8 related at the moment.

Wow, thats quite a different dialogue, looks rushed but I definently wanted something like this, it looks like it makes things much simpler.

I can confirm that mounting ISO's is present and does work in this build

Nothing much to share apart from the screen, seems the build that the user has/had doesn't have it or its locked away.

YOu have to qualify (and be accepted for) Advanced Users (there's a linkage in the FAQ section of the forum, and No, I'm not there yet, either).

Section, I would think most FTP clients that permit username/password logins would work (even the moldie-oldie CLI FTP client that's been standard with Windows since 9x/NT).

I agree, if you can't read a buildtag, you shouldnt be downloading pre-release builds

That looks like M3 and one of the builds where our leaks are coming from. I guess the PDF reader is looked away with everything else.

Yeah that screen is of a M3 build (M3 started @ NT6.2 795x Milestone 3).

I think only Rafael Rivera and Paul Thurrott have managed to unlock all these new features outside of MS, nobody else knows yet I think.

Besides, that's what VM software (such as VirtualBox) is for (at the desktop level). It's what I use to test pretty much all old beta software (and now modern beta OSes as well; I have one VM with ThinPC on it).
