I never understood DDoSing a site. What does it achieve? Inconsistence? Oh no, whatever shall we do. You know these people really have no life at all whatsoever if they would rather temporarily halt a site from getting visitors instead of hanging out with friends.

Oh my [censored] god can't these damn kids just cope with it? I bet it's someone who hated the forum lockup and now they DDoS the site because they find it funny. Ha. Ha. I've always hated hackers lol.

Whichever group did this must be fighting valiantly together, for Narnia. You know, creating a group called 3663-net?
Bah, it's just some kid out there who has nothing better to do than to DDoS a site. Apparently the same kid was spambotting Failnet with a message something like this: "We are Anti-Beta Ring and we will not stop until BetaArchive is closed."

And why would someone be so angry at betas?
Your fault? O.o lol kiddos, "OMG IT WAS HIM!". Maybe some competitor, sees we have more betas than his site or something or doesn't have FTP access and decided to hack this.

Enough with the blaming and blind guesses.
The site got attacked, and now we're back. Whatever the attackers think it will not bring down BetaArchive and we're here to stay. If anyone has any real info about the attackers (Andy and I have a fair guess who it is already, don't bother asking us) then please contact us in private with the information, leave it off the forum.

Exactly, what mrpijey said
The simple fact of the matter is that sites get DDoSed all the time and there's nothing really that can be done asides from holding the attack off, and waiting for them to knock it off. Like bullies on a playground who get bored if they do not see a reaction.
And honestly, if I was a bully, I'd find the meaningless insults to individuals and groups made here quite amusing, the MSN ':@' as well would get a rise.

This really sucked, [censored] attackers try to throw the site down, and they fail after one night. Whoever they are, I will take a crowbar to their skulls. THEY DO NOT [censored] WITH US EVER!

Please Blizzardo1, mrpijey told not to blame anymore. We all know that this is as bomb for us "members", so what do you think the position of the Moderators and Administrators, especially Andy who's the main Administrator.
He would be more angry than me and you and other members of what happened.
I have checked the FTP Servers : 1- The Download Server lists just 5 Directories:
(Beta) Applications
(Beta) Operating Systems
(Beta) Games
(Misc) Images
(Tools)
2- The upload server: It's OK. But looks like there's rule #6 in the root of FTP that's missed. Was it like this mrpijey before hacking or it's new change ?

No it isn't, most people's uploads disappeared including mine. And the download server, even today I could see all directories
