No offence, but I don't see how that could possibly be true at all.
The widely available Developer Preview (Build 8102) is much beyond that of any of the earlier builds in terms of functionality, not to mention that it even has Metro enabled - the earlier builds did NOT have Metro enabled in any sense, apart from certain smaller portions of it being implemented.
The earlier builds also required most of the updated features to be updated - this is not so for Build 8102, of which has them already enabled by default.
Finally, the earlier builds were not much different from that of Windows 7 in terms of functionality, yet there are numerous differences from that of Windows 7 in the more recent Windows 8 builds (Build 8102 and similar builds onwards).

I meant that later builds will be neat to see, I probably won't get to see them, but the point is that a Beta is a Beta, 8102 is available to the public, so its not as rare. I will admit its neat to see the Metro UI evolve, just like the Start menu in Chicago, from build 58 to 490, it has changed a lot. And with Win8, its the same thing, changes in the making, from old to new. (did that make sense?) It will be neat to look at the betas in 30 years and say, "see, this is how windows evolved, bit by bit." . And I'm sure there will be many more exiting builds leaked, too! And I didn't mean to offend you in any way, WinPC, I just never had 8100, so I didn't know.

Build 8175 has been exposed at CES 2012, but it's not leaked. (Yet). It's like Build 7867, exposed at CES 2011 but not leaked. But this thread is about build 7955, not 8xxx builds.

Sorry, it hasn't been. They only showed it off to attendants at CES 2012, but they never actually released it (that is, they never actually handed out copies of it to the attendants themselves).
Your best bet, really, is to wait until the Public Beta (Consumer Preview) is released in just over a week (February 19th), since it is quite similar to that of Build 8175, albeit further updated since then.

It's the method Microsoft used in these early milestone builds to protect various new features like the new Task Manager or Immersive. It's also a reference to The Matrix.

I knew it was a reference to The Matrix, but the Microsoft point I did not. So thank you, But would they want to protect those things?

It's a protection method against leaks. If the builds get leaked (which they did), the stuff they were working on would be hidden until someone activated the red pill.

or it is a method to hide the unfinished stuff full of bugs (remember the metro ie from 7850)

No, it isn't supposed to be locked. Someone might have to contribute a new find or fact that it wasn't previously found. Discussions about betas are never dead, no matter how old the build is.

Indeed. Longhorn seems to be one of the biggest beta talks even now, several years after Vista was released.
